How To Get Wooden Cogs In Aloft
Wooden Cogs are an essential early-game resource in Aloft. They open several more crafting choices for you and using them you can create many new machines. The machinery that you build on your home island will let you obtain better materials and will also improve the production process of other crafting ingredients.
You'll need linen to get around the world of Aloft.
However, Wooden Cogs can be easily missed, especially if you haven't already built a Millstone on your land. You need the machine to process your Mykter Fibres, which is another resource you may be running low on. Wooden Cogs are also essential in making late-game sails.
Wooden Cogs will take a while to craft as you also need some machinery to obtain all resources. You need to combine the following materials at your Workbench.
Use one Hardstoone and three Wood to make Carved Wood on your Workbench.
Mykter fibre is the key ingredient in making Mykter grease. To get it, you need to visit corrupted islands that are scattered across the map. On these islands, you will find tall fungi plants to beat. You need to break their nodes to defeat them and purify the island. You will also run into smaller fungal enemies which you can slash with your sword.
Once you have Mykter Fibre, it's time to crush it in your Millstone. You can build the Millstone using the following materials.
If you place your Mykter Fiber inside, it will automatically process them into Mykter Grease.
Wooden Cogs are essential to crafting machinery in Aloft, which lets you process raw materials into refined products. If you want to progress to more islands, you need to build better sails so you can use Wooden Cogs in making Wool and Linen Sails. They are used to make the following production buildings.
